Desktop Computers

Computing is changing quickly and there are some important things to consider when you are going to spend money on a computer.

  • What will you be using the computer for?
Typical uses for computers in a modern home or office are;
  1. Online software and programs (cloud services).
  2. Social & Business Networking.
  3. Editing of Graphics, Images and Photographs.
  4. Watching Movies, Documentaries etc either from discs or streamed from the web.
  5. Listening to music again either stored locally or streamed from the web.
None of the above tasks requires a super computer! in-fact the key elements of most modern computers will deal with these tasks.

What is important is that the computer has good quality components and is put together is a robust way by people who know what they are doing.
A good example of this is Razer - Razer make high quality Human Interface Devices (HID's) for PC gamers - the company was started by people who are passionate about gaming and who where getting let down by the products on the market. The products they make are pricy - HOWEVER; they are not expensive! - a key difference we will come back to again and again on this site.

As an example a typical Mouse from Razer will cost about £70 or £80. the diference is that you will only need to buy it once ... the last one I had lasted 7 years and then the right click started getting a bit worn but it still works.

In the same time you would likely have purchased 4 - 5 standard mice costing around £100 and would never have had the functionality or reliability which will aid you productivity - cost and expense are difference and important and we think Razer products are great.
